• Website Content (Accessed Locally): The Extension processes the text content of the active webpage only to identify and apply highlight styles to the keywords you have entered or to identify predefined “Trap Questions”. This processing occurs entirely within your browser. This content is not transmitted or stored on any external servers.
• Search Data (Local Storage): Your search keywords, “Trap” patterns, and settings (colors, themes, etc.) are stored locally within your browser’s sync storage (using chrome.storage.sync). This allows your settings to persist across your own devices where you are logged into Chrome. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Permissions Used

The Extension requests the following permissions, strictly for its stated functionality:

• scripting & activeTab: Used to identify text on the webpage and apply highlight styles.
• storage: Used to save your highlights and settings locally.
• contextMenus: Used to allow you to add words to the finder via the right-click menu.
• tabs: Used to detect when a page has finished loading to re-apply highlights if necessary.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer any user data (including your locally stored highlights or browsing activity) to third parties for any purpose. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to share or sell.

5. User Control and Data Deletion

Because your data is stored locally:

• Access and Modification: You can manage your keyword lists and settings directly within the extension’s popup interface.
• Deletion: Clicking the “CLEAR” button in the extension or uninstalling the “Text Multi-Finder” Extension from your Chrome browser will remove all associated locally stored data.
